Introducing The Bella Lunas!
Kismet brought The Bella Lunas together in San Diego, California in 2022 and the vibrant trio immediately bonded over their love of music, creativity and American Sign Language.
Rhea, a versatile singer-songwriter and ASL Interpreter, showcases her powerful, raw musical talent and exceptional vocals. Sheena, a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult), brings her velvety vocals and passion for perfectly blended harmonies. Lily, a Deaf artist, wowed the other ladies with her unique ASL rhythmic renditions of visual music.
Rhea and Sheena's voices and instruments blend together in angelic harmonies, weaving intricate patterns of sound that captivate audiences. Yet it is Lily, a Deaf artist and performer, who introduces a completely new dimension with American Sign Language. They are graceful together with the music as it creates a mesmerizing experience you can see, hear, and feel.
Rhea Makiaris
Rhea Makiaris is a dynamic entertainer with a soul-stirring voice and infectious charm. With over two decades of experience as both a sign language interpreter with a passion for ASL advocacy and a bi-coastal singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she is poised for success as a performer and business owner. Her commitment to being a contribution is the inspiration for her latest project "Concert For Your Cause", bringing multiple communities together for various unique fundraiser concerts. Known for her collaborative spirit, Rhea's latest ventures include leading the girl band The Bella Lunas in exciting adventures.

Lily Molina
Lily Molina is a vibrant Deaf woman with Chilean roots who thrives fluently in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English. She is on a journey to inspire Deaf youth in San Diego and beyond as a future teacher at a California State University (CSU).
As a member of The Bella Lunas, she brings her unique perspective as a fully Deaf musician. Lily explores themes of love, connection, and the essence of being alive in her ASL musical performances. Besides music, she expresses herself through dance and theater, which is fueled by her love for travel and literature. Lily will graduate from CSU with a degree in English Literature, May of 2024.
Sheena Rice
SHEENA (Sheena Rice) is a singer-songwriter out of San Diego, California. Born right outside of Detroit, Michigan to two Deaf parents, later at a young age she and her family moved to the west coast, where she was raised near Portland, Oregon. At age 23, she relocated to San Diego, California to follow her dreams in a variety of careers: Music, ASL Interpretation, and Photography. Sheena identifies as a queer woman, singer/songwriter, and a Coda (Child of Deaf Adults).
